Jocelyn Moore loved working with John Muir Charter School students at the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps.

For years, she was a safe, nurturing, and loving presence for young people facing extraordinary challenges. As a teacher, she guided students ages 18–26 toward earning their high school diploma, teaching a wide range of subjects—and so much more. Jocelyn cooked pancake breakfasts, repainted classrooms in bright, welcoming colors, and planned unforgettable field trips.

But what truly set her apart was her gift for helping students open up. Many arrived guarded by past trauma, yet Jocelyn’s patience, kindness, and genuine care helped them trust again—allowing them to grow, discover themselves, and step into new possibilities.

The Jocelyn Moore Scholarship honors her legacy by reminding us to lead with love and to help students blossom into their fullest potential.

Jocelyn Moore was more than a teacher—she was a safe place, a champion, and a source of joy for her students.
The Jocelyn Moore Scholarship continues her life’s work—leading with love and helping young people overcome barriers to success.

Jocelyn Moore changed lives with her kindness, patience, and belief in her students.
Give today to help students blossom—just as Jocelyn helped them do every day.
